Emergency Services

The City of Meta is proud to be protected by our local emergency services. The Osage County Sheriff's Department and the Missouri State Highway Patrol provide law enforcement. 

Meta Fire and Rescue, the volunteer-based fire department, provides fire and other emergency services to a wide area include the City of Meta and other surrounding areas.  Station 1 is located at the intersection of Hwy 133 and Route B, just across from City Hall.  Station 2 is located in Van Cleve, just outside of Meta. 

COMM-Unity Ambulance, also volunteer-based, provides emergency medical services to Meta and surrounding areas.  Their base is located at the corner of Fifth and Walnut Streets. 

All services participate in mutual aide agreements, to ensure that the citizens of Meta are provided full emergency services at any time, day or night.
