New Resident Resources

Welcome to the City of Meta! We are so happy you have chosen our city as a place to call home! 

The City of Meta provides both water and trash services to residents within the city limits.  To apply for new water and/or trash service, please contact City Hall at 573-229-4439 or come by and see us at 101 South Locust Street.  City Hall is open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10am to 2pm (with the exception of holidays). A copy of the new service application can be found below. A connection charge will apply. 

*Please be advised, per Ordinance 467, the water and trash service must be placed in the property owner's name.  If you are renting a property, your landlord will need to retain services in their name.  However, if you have purchased the property, please contact us. 

Sewer services are not availabe within the city limits at this time. 

Electric service to Meta is provided by Ameren Missouri.  Visit their website at www.ameren.com or call 1-800-552-7583 to set up new service. 

There is no natural gas service in our area.  If your home or business has a propane tank, please make contact with a local propane dealer.
